  • About Me: Father of two fantastic children, spirited night-owl monkey and miss night-owl firecracker (or are they both monkeys?). Beautiful, they both are. Husband to an ingenious night-owl ducky who fits with me like we're puzzle pieces in a 2-piece puzzle. *rimshot* (yes, I hear your sighs)

  • Favorite Characters: Mario chars, Sonic, Tails, Tony Hawk
  • Favorite Classic Arcade Games: Galaga, Joust, Ms Pac-Man, Arkanoid, Qix, Crystal Castles
  • Proudest Achievements: Anytime that I beat the highest score on a pinball game. I wouldn't call it a "Proudest Achievement", though.

Food

  • Favorite Cuisine: toss up among Indian, Italian, and Japanese. Heck, throw in some German and French food, too.
  • Foods I hate: There are very few things that I refuse to eat twice. Bohne Beroggi (a warm pastry with a sweet bean paste inside and swimming in a warm sweet bean paste.. bleh) is one of them.

More About Me

  • Interests: Movies (sci-fi, period, sociological futures, comedy, fantasy), Books about various styles of education (recently, John Holt books), iWoz, Google Story, and various styles of parenting (e.g. Dr. Sears). Watching my son's mind develop in amazing ways, "crazy time" with my son and daughter, Engaging talks with my wife, Computer games (Bistro Stars, Breakout Shooting, Snowy Lunch Rush, Age of Empires III, Icy Tower, and Amulet of Tricolor if time), messin with my computer to make it a lean mean machine, Learning, teaching webpages new tricks, re-organizing/uncluttering home/garage/basement (well, not an interest, just a needful thing),...etc.

    I remember when Zachy, had to have everything on his plate, not touching, or he would not eat it. I remember when Zachy, would throw a kaniption fit when you sipped on something he was drinking.....but grandpa Doc did it anyway----to which Zach retorted, "Why?"

    I remember when Zachy, was awfully quiet, so his mother went to investigate. Zachy was exploring the mechanisms of the front door---no problem, at least he wasn't coloring on the walls. A few hours later, someone went to open the front door and it came off it's hinges. Way to go Zachy.

    I remember when I sat Zachy down to explain the birds and the bees. I discussed the subject. I drew pictures of the anatomy of the subject, and asked if Zachy understood. Zachy nodded that he did and promptly said, "I don't have to worry about this right now." Subject closed.
